Slovenian Accreditation awarded the first two accreditations from the field of qualified trust services certification, pursuant to the eIDAS Regulation

Slovenian Accreditation (SA) announced that on June 30, 2017 it had awarded the first two accreditations from the field of qualified trust services certification, pursuant to the eIDAS Regulation, to Bureau Veritas d.o.o. and the Slovenian Institute of Quality and Metrology (SIQ). By doing this, Slovenia fulfilled the condition for including Slovenian trust service providers in the trusted list, which substantially contributes to operations without additional obstacles on the internal market. In the context of pilot procedures, both accredited companies issued a certificate of suitability (called a Certificate of Adequacy according to the rules of eIDAS Regulation), having successfully completed the procedure, to all the existing Certification Authorities which have attained such status on the basis of the ZEPEP.
